It takes resilience to remain in business for nearly a century.  Since 1921 Dowell’s Moving has changed and adapted with the times to offer impeccable moving services to people in Victoria and environs.

Our history of helping families and businesses to start afresh at new addresses is intertwined with the growth and evolution of the city.

We strengthened our long-distance moving service in 1995, becoming a full-fledged member of the Vancouver-based Highland Worldwide Group. We offer premier local, long distance and international moving services for Victoria and Vancouver Island.

Highland Worldwide was founded by Harry Wiancko in 1969. The company, with 3 locations in British Columbia and more than 35,000 sq. ft of customs bonded warehouse facilities, is known for its expertise in local, long distance and overseas moving, as well as professionalism and excellent customer service.

Harry’s sons, Alan and Robert Wiancko, continue his legacy of providing quality local, long distance and overseas moving services to businesses and households across Victoria and Vancouver Island.

Highland Worldwide has been awarded the Atlas Platinum customer service award and is one of the first international moving companies in Western Canada to earn the highest level certification of FIDI, the governing body of international movers.
